I wasn't going to go today - saving myself for later in the week when the forecast is looking good for days - unheard of for Felixstowe !!! :) but after shopping I checked The Dip and like looked good - sunny and breezy even if a bit on the chilly side, only 14 degrees :( So I was at the beach at two and thought I would give the X-15 and small fin a go. The wind was a little lighter than yesterday and it was slow going getting upwind but I made it into the river about an hour and a half before low :) I just stayed by the outside shingle bar where the wind was strongest but the tide is very strong :( The small fin is a lot better, not running aground once :) with the speeds down from yesterday I tried for some alpha's but it's not a good spot even if the water is flat as soon as you turn you hit the strong tide and it's ajob to get going :( As soon as the tide turns the river chops up so a couple of hours before low is best - just need more wind !!! but on the open sea it flatterns out as the tide comes in. So two good days with hopefully more to come :)

Highlight of the day - a low flying spitfire !!! :)
